The AMBIO Cooperative has been carrying out works of conservation and recovery of forests in the ejido Triunfo Agrarista, in the municipality of Osumacinta, Chiapas. This ejido is of great importance for the Sumidero Canyon Park, since it feeds water to the "Christmas Tree Waterfall", a relevant tourist attraction of the Sumidero Canyon.
At the beginning of the year, AMBIO aligned itself with the "Agua para el Triunfo" strategy, a project developed by the Sumidero Canyon National Park and the Río Arronte Foundation. This project seeks to join efforts in the area and maximize its impacts.
The "Agua para el Triunfo" project includes actions to conserve rivers, the construction of artificial lagoons and water collection systems, as well as the installation of drinking water filters in the community.
