As part of the work of the Community Forest Monitoring Protocol, a Water Quality Monitoring Workshop was held in the Ejido Veinte Casas, in the municipality of Ocozocoautla. This workshop helps to facilitate the knowledge and use of the information for the communities, which allows them to make informed decisions for the management of their natural resources.
Two residents of Ejido Veinte Casas, three AMBIO technicians and a trainer from the Global Water Watch organization participated in the workshop. The objective was to learn about water quality monitoring, at points that are a priority for the ejido and that can provide ¿ information on water sources for the ejido.
Different topics were facilitated in the workshop such as: physicochemical, bacteriological and flow monitoring, as well as solids.
