AMBIO participated in the training process for forest managers in social economy promoted by the initiative “Forests for the good living ". Several civil and forest producer organizations participated in this initiative forests.
The training process was developed with a methodology based on “Learning by doing”, recovering the experiences of the participants and the generation of solutions, as a practice, for problems identified in the visits with work groups and the talks with the people who carry out the activities in the different business initiatives.
Visits were made to a group of women, who make wooden handicrafts, as well as to charcoal group that produce timber. Through “Action support groups”, learning was retrieved to determine possible alternative solutions.
A relevant result of this experience was the training for members of the different participating organizations of a network of forest managers in the social economy, which facilitates the exchange of experiences and the possible resolution of common problems, at different levels, taking advantage of the experience of the participants.
