Second Mexican Forum of the Mexican Committee of the IUCN.

From October 18 to 21, the second edition of the IUCN Mexican forum was held in the city of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas. This forum included the participation of civil society organizations from all over the country, as well as the academic sector and state and local governments.

The Forum addressed environmental and social issues that are of great importance in the country at this time to achieve the preservation of ecosystems. Ambio is a member of the IUCN, its participation focused on sharing its strategic challenges for nature conservation in Mexico, such as the linking and dissemination of knowledge to different actors and decision-making scales. They also participated in the climate change roundtable, in which the institutional experience on the issue of carbon markets and local actions was addressed.
