Participation in the meeting of Civil Society organizations in Mexico City
On July 7, 2023, Ambio participated as a speaker at the Meeting to identify financing challenges and opportunities for adaptation to climate change for small Civil Society Organizations. This was an initiative of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, through the National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change, with support from the French Development Agency, through the EUROCLIMA+ program.
The event was held in Mexico City and had the assistance and participation of civil society organizations from Mexico City, the State of Mexico, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Morelos, Tabasco, Puebla and Michoacán.
On this occasion, Ambio presented its experience in the management of financing and implementation of community projects to combat climate change and the development of adaptation strategies at the local level. In addition to the experience, it was shared the need for civil society to access international resources in a more accessible and transparent manner under a vision of cooperation in the face of a global climate crisis.
