“Forest restoration of degraded areas in the Vicente Guerrero ejido, Villa Corzo, Chiapas”.

As part of the strategies proposed in the project “Forest restoration, establishment and maintenance of agroforestry systems in communities of the Sierra Madre of Chiapas”, a collaboration between AMBIO Cooperative and Conservation International Mexico, various activities have been carried out in the ejido Nuevo Vicente Guerrero, municipality of Villa Corzo, Chiapas.

In coordination with the AMBIO technical team and the forestry brigade of the Nuevo Vicente Guerrero ejido, a reforestation practice was carried out in September, beginning with the planting of pine (Pinus oocarpa) and the application of a hydrating gel (also called solid rain), this as part of a strategy to counteract the adverse effects of desiccation in the dry season.

Ith these strategies, we seek to be more effectively guarantee the survival of the little trees planted to achieve the project's reforestation objectives.
