The AMBIO Cooperative promotes sustainable rural development in a comprehensive and harmonious manner in terms of gender, culture and socioeconomic levels within the communities in various areas of the Mexican southeast.
Through the rational management of natural resources, the capacities of local producers and organizations are strengthened. AMBIO, in its function of fulfilling its objectives, collaborates with multiple actors from academic institutions, government agencies, credit institutions, associations and civil societies, and national and international non-governmental organizations.
AMBIO is a nationally and internationally recognized organization as a reference for the design and implementation of projects for the sustainable management of natural resources. As part of its activities, AMBIO strengthens the local capacities of producers in rural communities for mitigation and adaptation to climate change in southeastern Mexico.
