Davines visited the Scolel'te Program.

Davines, a brand of hair products, has contributed to the Scolel´te Program since 2020 as part of its actions to achieve carbon neutrality. Derived from this commitment, part of the Davines team visited the Program's working areas to know the work that is part of this collaboration.

Davines prepared an audiovisual production team with the purpose of documenting the communities (Scolel´te) that contribute with their work to their carbon neutrality goals. The purpose is to introduce to their audience the results of the alliance.

They visited the Ejido Monte Sinai II in the municipality of Cintalapa and the Ejido Nuevo San Juan Chamula, in the municipality of Ocozocoautla. They had the opportunity to talk with the working groups and a participant who collaborate with an individual plot, while learning about the activities that help to carbon sequestration.

At Monte Sinai II they learned about the restoration and reforestation work that is being carried out under a community agreement for Scolel'te and that the community have been developing since 2019, accompanied by the Certified Community Forest Management that they were already developing before their participation in the Program.

In the Ejido Nuevo San Juan Chamula, Davines had the opportunity to talk with a participant of the Scolel'te Program, who entered individually with an agroforestry plot of 1 hectare of a coffee timber plantation in 2017. She was motivated to participate in order to be able to increase their family incomes with the incorporation of coffee in a plot that used to be a paddock.
